Wesley Mission

By simplifying its website and defining an authentic voice, Wesley Mission now helps people find support faster while staying true to its legacy of doing good.

Wesley Mission has guided people through life’s ups and downs for more than 200 years. But their website didn’t reflect the organisation’s mission ‘to do all the good we can’. Over the years, it became a maze of over 1,000 disconnected webpages, each telling a different story in a different voice.

Diving into understanding how users moved through the existing website and where they got stuck, we helped Wesley Mission streamline critical pages. And by rewriting more than 40 webpages with the audience at the heart, we helped create clear and simple pathways to finding support.

We also helped uncover the organisation’s authentic voice: an inclusive and fearless tone that keeps things real and connects through stories.

Every webpage now speaks with consistency, warmth and purpose – echoing the tone of real-life conversations across digital touchpoints.

The result?

A distinct tone of voice and a website that matches what Wesley Mission has always been – a place where people find what they need most.

What we did

  • Website audit and recommendations
  • Stakeholder interviews
  • Tone of voice development
  • Website copywriting

“Writers Australia has worked with me to demanding timeframes, complex review and approval processes, writing about services that are complex or we’ve struggled to explain. They’ve always been the one part of puzzle I don’t worry about because I trust their approach and their skills. The results at Wesley Mission speak for themselves: higher engagement, more search traffic, and improved satisfaction.”
